I had this idea a really long time ago and never got around to it til now.  I’m actually glad for that because if I had attempted this earlier it would not have turned out this well.  Even now, this was attempt number 8.  It’s hard to find good reference art for dragons that doesn’t lead to copying someone’s style.  So I looked for photos of dinosaur skeletons instead.  Guess which dinosaur skull this is modeled off of?  I’ll give you a hint–I modified it quite a bit.  I’m actually really proud of the tree–it’s strange but cool looking, which is exactly what I was going for.
